What to Blame: Is it users of SEO tools or is it Search Engines?
I admit. Before hearing about SEO tools and website marketing industry, I was of the opinion that Google was cool. I Used Google to look for anything from celebrities, to images, to current events to odd things and unquestionably trusted the results. Then I learned about SEO programs and an entire field revolving around promoting sites, and my convictions changed. But even prior to my discovery, having done some reflective analysis, I got an inkling that search engines, Google included, know far from all, and pass on to the web community even less than what they know.
My search experiences soon persuaded me that Flikr is a better image search source, that with the help of Digg I can get great news stories without having to rummage through Google search results (rummaging is more descriptive than Google search), and human search is best handled by Facebook. It seems like every time I search for weird gadgets on Google, the results are often messy, to put it kindly. Try Googling for SEO tools and other SEO relevant topics on Google and you are almost ready to surrender your patience. I mean, tell me, what’s the relationship between SEO software and online education webpages or Web casinos? Fortunately, in my distress.
So when news of seo software review and the entire field revolving around it came into my modest worldview, my doubts about domains popping up on first page of Google grew virally. Do they merit to show up on there and who is to blame, Google or site promoters using SEO products. The moral dilemma is immense. Do I quit using my SEO google rank checker or do I quit using Google instead? I concluded that I can’t quit Google just yet. At least not till the worthy contender enters the game. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will keep playing with my SEO apps.
Frankly, SEO applications is the reason why guys like myself get found online. intelligent as they are, search engine search algos are unlikely to find some random guy and rank his webpage well. In this respect, I remain a steadfast advocate of SEO software and non-paid search. If it was all about the paid search, the corporate businesses would demolish me before I knew it. And there are up to one thousand businesses on the Fortune roll! But here is something else that irks me and other backlinks checker users, I am sure. There are individuals who buy SEO apps and use them to sell shoeson online education sites and such. What we see is junk that not only lives on the Internet but is also highly ranked by search engines.
What is the user perspective on this? People search for SEO software reviews and will instead find disconnected SERPs. They get disenchanted. So much for the “Internet fairness”. Does this mean that SEO software and service field is harmful? Not necessarily.
The abusers of SEO applications need to stop polluting the Web but it’s like ordering hackers to stop hacking. The unfortunate thing about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the prospect to be seen on the Net that is offered to the no-name guy like myself. For now people just have to be patient with them. One can only hope that Google will put more emphasis on finding the schemers unethically using SEO software, and if Google doesn’t, the new Google will.
